Status of the AppleTV at my home | Digital Life

the Webserver connects in Realtime via the Internet to the AppleTV

i do believe the Apple TV is the Cheapest Apple Computer avaiable on this Planet so far,
its quite poor equiped (CPU Power, Memory, Harddiscs)
compared to State of the art Macintosh Hardware (but this is why it`s affordable).

this Machine has the Advantage of on-Board Outputs like HDMI, RGB and Optical.
running Mac OS X 10.4, which makes it very compatible to anything imaginable.
by that .. this machine is simply a great PC-Based Media Player Plattform

well right out of the box,
the Apple TV is chained down to use with iTunes and local Storage only.

but a few Minutes of Software Hacking enables the USB-Port to connect external Harddiscs and/or install other Software for more Media Experiences. please feel free contact me if you need help on this
